You must not chase it through the screen with the bird. You need to go through the screens where there was a bear and a boar (you need to scare those to off first). I won't say much more now...
Yes - a full walkthrough would be very usefull, but there apearently isn't any yet. Anybody wants to write one - I'd love to add it in the extras (full credit given to the author).
