When i try to copy a DVD video, i get a message which says the DVD is protected. Is there any way around this?
Well if you have the original already why copy it?
I think the best way around this would be to make an image of the cd and copy it. Or to just copy to harddrive and burn from there. Never tried it though, just a thought. [/b][/quote]
If it is protected it is not going to work. He will have to decrypt it first.

Funny story, I was trying since oh 1998 or something to find an easy way to do this (a very very easy way) and when I finaly found one 2 years ago, I used it once and never again LOL.

As for reasons that one might want to, to see how it is done or just for the experience (like in my case), or because you are not allowed to (always a thing), or because he wants to share the movie (most cases illegal).
