Erm, so is Personal Jesus, only it's even more similar to the Depeche Mode original than Tainted Love is to Soft Cell.
Brian's OK from time to time and in small doses, and he does write good songs (Slutgarden I find particularly catchy) but he's definitely overrated by teenage goths (and by Christian hysterics, in a different sense).
