Did you hit any of the buttons more than once (as in "clicking on many buttons before the first click was completely processed by the website")? You might have sent multiple requests to the script which were translated into you losing APs for no apparent reason...
About the inventory limit: dropping things won't cost you any AP so it's not that bad
