The only noticable lag on the site is when we (the updaters) are moving really big archives around (for instance for the daily update) OR when the mailinglist message is being sent. This makes the site difficult to access for about 1.5 minutes every day... Sicne the updates are done at a more or less random time every day, the chances of someone noticiying it two days in a row are slim (or you're browsing Abandonia too much
).
