Nobody said metal was "for the masses," you're putting words in his mouth there - what he did say, and rightly, was that the forum music topics have a tendency to get taken over with discussion of metal for some reason.

The masses donīt like metal, because metal is to listen to "iluminate people", that can understand and feel the kind off music.
