You must understand a few things about buying the 'original' stuff:
- people spent their MONEY for more importaint things - things you need to live!
- there are some distribution problems;
- Piracy and the black market were treated (and still are) very differently from what you're used to;
- and: It's not illegal if you're not cought - attitude!!!
That was the way people were thinking and used of doing things (and somehow it actually worked) for decades. BTW what do you think abandonia downloadable's were at first? Do you think they were cracked by their owners just to say - hey, we won't sell this game any more, so we'll crack it for you, so you don't need the manual either?!?!
They were illegal at the time the game was still sold, that's why they're cracked, but now, that the game is abandonware, it really doesn't matter anymore!!!
