It seems I'm stuck in the same position. I got those 3 item: this wolf head (already used to scare the girl), the rod and that strange book. I've already done everything written in this thread and I think I have talked to anyone and tried to "give" and "use" all of my items with anything. I really don't have a clue what to do.
btw: Is there something about this "suspicious liquid"?
edit: I got it by myself. Nice game, indeed. I'd appreciate to see more games like this one, perhaps a bit more content.
