The thing is, it's a very deceiving class, you'd think the summons get weak near Hell mode, yet people can beat Diablo and Baal on Hell mode with 2 or 3 armies (resummoned).

I have to disagree with this opinion, cause #1 downside of a skeleton and revived creature army is this - if there aren't enough monsters to summon forth an army - your dead. Blizzard could've made at least 3 maximum golems per character. That way summoners wouldn't have to rely purely on dropped bodies. Golems are way more powerful, but I can only have one at all times, they could've made 1 of each possible at the same time. That would've made a necro more versatile and powerful.
