Undercroft certainly is interesting. The window version however is not scaled to full screen. It is most likely just a port of its Pocket PC version. The gameplay is not like Bard's Tale, but is similar to Lands of Lore 1 and Eye of the Beholder, in that the combat system is real-time (I like it ). You get to name the characters, just like in EOB. Your characters don't get penalty for walking into walls/obstacles, unlike in Dungeon Master. No need to concern about torch (at least that is my impression from the demo). I don't recall about food necessity either (I might be wrong, it's been several months since I played the demo), but you do get to collect some fruit (apple, if I'm not mistaken). Movement is tile-based (step-by-step, frame-by-frame), not fluid, and this is another point I like (since I won't get motion sickness I already mentioned in the original post above). Automap is present, and IMHO is presented better than in Red Shift's Legacy series (http://www.redshift.hu/ ). Interface is simple enough to understand. Overall, a good game k:
