No one wants to play the old LucasArts style adventure games anymore, for example, because people don't want to use their stupid brains when they play a game, they just want to relentlessly bash their PS2 controller to death trying to kill a 1,000,000 foot tall demon monster spawn of satan, using only a shotgun. Real time strategy is dying out, turn based strategy is totally dead in the water, and most video game players these days wouldn't even know what the hell you were talking about if you used the phrase "FPS". I want to play those gorgeous old LucasArts style adventures! I love to challenge my ol' grey matter in that way - after all, it lets me fire off synapses that I wouldn't normally use at work, walking the dog etc. etc.
I love to watch zombies on film, mess with zombies in games, read about zombies in comics and books, but dammit, I will not BE a liesure-time zombie!
By the way, perhaps if the marketing folks removed the word "strategy" from RT Strategy titles people might be fooled into thinking that they can buy it, load it up and let their brain slowly melt into oblivion
