Never mind. I figured it out. The idea is to look which screens cause the lock to immediately fall back into place again and turn those off. When I played (no idea if it's random, but I don't think it is), I had to create an X from enabled monitors, meaning screen 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 had to be turned on and 2, 4, 6 and 8 turned off. Make sure the robot is frozen so he doesn't start stepping on switches. Then shoot the button near the wall to open the door.

"Mysterio's End?", the final screen you could already reach (but not enter without a glitch) near the beginning of the game is indeed behind the door. Finishing the game the usual way is a bit tougher since the walls near Mary Jane start closing in on her as you step further into the room and if all her life is gone, it'll be game over. I managed to quickly webswing to the left end of the room, shoot the switch of Mysterio's platform and trap him on the forcefield. You get a sweet little ending pic (only one) for beating the game and you get to put your name in the high score list.

Nice little game, in retrospect, although some puzzles were frustrating.
