We had the C64 after our Vic...sigh... The good ol' days. I did manage to find some comments on VooDoo Castle online, but nothing about the other game. And that was the first (and probably only) text adventure I actually got to the end of without help!!
By the time we got the C64 we had the disk drive.... We had several Infocom games (love those) and then Summer Games and such.
I vaugely remember one that was based on characters from Mad Magazine...can't think of their names....Spy vs. Spy I think?
Anyone use BBSs? We had a 300 BAUD modem with our C64.... Spent a lot of time on the local computer bulletin board systems... That's actually how I met my husband!!! Imagine out excited we were to get a 1200 baud modem!!! Haha...
We had a computer users group that had people with C64, C128, Amiga, Atari, etc.... Sigh... Good memories! My husband was a total Atari ST devotee.
I might be "old," but I'm a kid at heart.... Still love to play those old games.... (just have less time since I have two kids now!
My oldest can play these games along with me now though!! Gotta pass these gems on to the next generation!!!
