Win the war? What war? The PC is still and will remain the best multi-purpose tool. If I can choose between a DVD player/game machine and a DVD player/game machine/typewriter/developer's tool etc etc etc I think I won't be happy with just the dvd player/game machine. I'll go for the whole packet, the PC.
