What you can try to find out if the ISO is valid:
download WinRAR@
http://www.win-rar.com/ (IF you don't have that yet) and try opening your ISO with it, WinRAR can open a valid ISO. Extract it to a temp folder, you may delete it afterwards. Just to know if WinRAR can extract it without error messages.
It's not 100% proof that the ISO is good, but it's a fairly good indication.
BTW: how big is that ISO? Maybe you can up it somewhere and PM me or one of the other guys where we can down it (NO torrents for me- rapidshare pref, I down a full ISO in 15 minutes there ). So someone can try things out.
Just a thought, depends how eager you are to get that bit** running.
