Can't say it's new (1995 or so... last one using the engine of Doom... and that sounded cheezy), but you can try Strife out. It's a FPS RPG, set in the future, but looking medieval for two third of the time. It's 'bout some rebellion and some religious cops or something like that. Been a while since I've played it, but it's cool enough
