Interesting, and thank you very much dosraider!
Seems I went wrong in one or more of these areas:
1) Using DosBox .70 instead of .72 (resolved)

2) Didn't use the -t floppy switch (didn't seem to matter after install, used it during install and everything went fine)
3) I was also trying to do a HD mount of the game by mounting first directory as a: to simulate the floppy, then second directory as c:, then following the directions for using the installh command instead of the installf.
Anyway, regardless, it is now successfully installed and running like a charm. And believe it or not, taking my attention away from Spore and Final Fantasy XII.
Incidentaly, when can I expect to see it on the site so I can steer my friends to d/l it from you?

Edit: Also, if you want, I do have access to a full version of Acrobat at work and may be able to change the jpg manual files into PDF's if that would be worth it.
