I think it was a shareware game from Big Blue Disk. You could choose to be one of many dinosaurs of different types. You could choose to be a herbivore, an omnivore, or a carnivore. After you choose, you are brought to a pac-man-like sort of maze screen. If you are an herbivore then there are plants that you have to eat and you must avoid being eaten by carnivorous dinosaurs. If you are an omnivore then you can eat both plants and herbivorous dinosaurs (but you still have to avoid carnivores). If you choose to be a carnivorous dinosaur, you eat herbivores or smaller carnivores, and if you choose the T-Rex then you are at the top of the food chain and nothing can eat you (you just eat everything else).

I think it was called dino-something, but I'm not sure. This ring any bells for anyone?
