Steam used to have a proxy loophole where you not only could buy games at US prices, you could also get them tax free. Then they closed both at once AND activated the Euro price. Result: games nearly doubled in price. I've only bought one Steam since then - and it was a weekend offer which was gifted
(UK price for Two Worlds - was £4. It was 15 euros for me - gifting lets you evade this).
