*note have your non casters yell at monsters early on for caster level ups
The magic box item casts the spell freeze life, good for stunning fast monsters
scrolls are just informational resources
they tell you how to cast spells, and clues for some of the puzzles
Water is found in the fountains spread through out the dungeon
Green screamers, purple worms, and huge gerbils are food type mobs
the first line of runes is the power setting
try the first power rune <</Lo, then N/Fu runes for magic torch light
also the 4 little dots/Oh then the Hourglass/Ven rune will cast a posion cloud
that those rock mobs don't like too much
have two or more of your party armed with the poison cloud spell and you can drive most mobs into corners, or better yet under doors then click and smack them to death with the door
Good luck, and try to find the dungeon master
