I guess my problem was back then that i came right from the amiga to the pc. And about every game on the amiga was 3 to 5 times better when it came to graphics then it was on the pc.

That could be, the PC was quite for some time the special foster brother of the Amiga

But I also have to state that a comparison to EoB is not really accurate. It's entirely a different story to place sprite models in a 2D dungeon view, than it is to create passable sprite models in a 3D environment. Who by the way have to move seamlessly in that environment and interact with the player. And I still think the UU engine did a wonderful job at that. But it's just me, rabidly defending one of my all time favorites
