It's only $$$$$'s if you don't find a keygen or copy a serial number from a boxed copy of Win7 from a shop
I've been doing that for games, recently. But I have had a few attacks of conscience when I think about the excited young boy who takes home a new copy of that game he's been waiting for, installs it - and then is rejected because the CD-key is now a duplicate (lol lolol).

So you do need to be running the 64bit version to use all yr 4gb of ram..?

Damn... That means some games will be screwed.
I'll stick with WinXP until it stops being supported, I reckon.
Unless they make Win7 able to 100% emulate Win95/98 for old games, in which case I may consider getting another HDD and multi-booting.
(Hackintosh with linux terminal and WinXP with a Dos 6.22(7.10) partition )
