Though I'm not religious, so I feel the entire season is a bit odd really. Maybe I should start saying "Winter's Greetings!" to people or something...
Im not a fan of organized religion either. I tend to this season as a festive happy time of year. I also tend to focus more on the paganistic background of the yuletide (christmas) holidays. When you go in my house or see my yard I am full of lights and decorations, but if you look closely you will notice that its all about Santa and snowmen and evergreens and reindeer. My wife is a little religious so we do have a manger scene. That is the only nod to christianity you will find in all my inside and outside decorations.
I am celebrating the change in seasons and the green and lights tell us that a new spring will come and the sun will shine bright again.
Peace and merry christmas and a prosperous new year.
