I agree wholeheartedly about being polite!
But I remember we had a threat called: The meaning of Life!
A nice little theological debate opened up, but I can't seem to find it.
OK: so here's my opinion!
As we all know there are many dimentions (we can see lenght, width, hight, and are aware of time - but there are supposed to be at least 22 of them). So I believe that every dimention is a carrier of importaint substances that are needed in order for the existance of our time-space continoum (that would make energy one of the dimentions and so on...).
But as these dimentions are not paralel to each other there are points where they meet. Our universe is one such point. Now the fact that the universe is expanding probably means that the dimentions are making a tighter knot (maybe a bad image, but it's to say, that every dimention is a tiny string and they are all wowen into a strong peace of rope, which gets thicker everty day).
Why did they cross or how did they come to be I don't know, but what we'd understand as nothingness would actually be the one-dimentional space. Meaning something that has only one dimention - that's how I understand absolute nothingness. Just think about it - can you imagine some thing just having width - withouth any other dimention? You simply can't see it. Even so called two dimetnoinal dravings have the third dimention - but a very thin one (the thicknes of the paper they are drown on).
So at this cross-setion of dimentions our universe came to be. When the dimentiones came in contact emance energy was relesed (the big bang).
After that it's all just physics, chemistry, biology and anathomy.
So if htere is a higher force it's a the law of nature (again - math, physics, chemistry,...). That force has no persona, no will power and things that happen don't happen because of the will of this force - they happen randomly!
One such law would be the law of gravity: If you throw an apple it will sooner or later fall down! Not because the forces of nature would catch it and force it to the ground, but because in the environment we live in we have gravity!
But we are becoming capable of opposing this force - defining our natural limitations (with our technology - and through evolution).
What we do with our technology is not as importaint, because we might be able to go to the moon, but not on our own!
so the importaint change is that done by the evolution. If early sea life was capable of leaving the ocean and start breathing air, then maybe in some distant future (millions of years) evolution will alow whales to freely swim through space.
So humans are developing too. What have we achieved so far?
1. speach - people became capable of expressing their ideas and opinions to other people.
2. writing - people were able to write their thoughts down, so others could read them (thus a single thought can be focused on through generations).
3. mass comunication - people are able to comunicate with each other instantly over vast distances, meaning a single idea can be considered all over the world by different people at the same time.
Unfortunately only speach is the resoult of evolution everything else is a technological improvement. So the next step would be telepathy - which would again be an evolutionary change.
Humans are only a few millions years old as a specie, so change comes slowly, but in will come.
But again people are trying to rush it with technology and create machinery that would acomplish that (like cybory technology).
And why is all this importaint?
Because some order is being visable in the universe, but not because the powerful willing force behind it.
So we're all just little pieces of a giant puzzle and we must all fall into place. The only problem is, that we have no idea what the big picture is, but once that one is created GOD will finaly be born. God is a supreme being, that will be on top of the evelutionary chain, but the evolution still hasn't come that far!
Hope it makes some sence, and

to anyone, who actually read through all this!
