Yoga Google is doing no such thing. They are changing their privacy policy to merge their tracking and advertising across their sites. They have been doing this for years, people have known about it for years. It is how they tailor their adverts towards people, and how they make money.

The program you linked uses Bing and Yahoo! as sources, both of which I am sure track your searches to better advertise to you.

This has nothing to do with SOPA, PIPA (both only in America) or ACTA, Google was one of the companies first to stand up and say that they were against SOPA and PIPA. And yes GMail is required to keep your emails private, it is part of their ToS.
