You still can switch Win8 to 'classic mode' desktop, even as WinXp-Win7 .....
And there is already a freeware 'classic shell' for Win8, you even can set a W95 'look and feel' if you want.
Fact is: they cleaned up a lot of the program code (even if this means sometimes introducing new bugs ....
)
Other fact: if you don't need the improved interconnectivity or tablet comp you can happily stay on Win7, Win8 won't add much more compy pleasure.
