Talking Where Have All The Good Times Gone?

Well, to start off, let's just say I do like the DOS era of gaming. (Which I assume is what you are talking about since we are on the DOS Abandonware forum, basically.)

That's not to say I don't like some newer stuff, (I know, big no-no) though. For this, though, I'll just go over what I like in general, plus an extra few in the "DOS" category.

Okay, so to start off, I am a BIG FPS fan. Anything from MoH to DOOM, mostly, I love it. I am NOT into excessive violence, or any sexual content. DOOM however doesn't have the latter, and in my opinion isn't really that realistic (At least the first one or two weren't ) because of it's Sprites for enemies.

However, that would mean Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior are unfortunately out of the run for me. I want to like them, but I just don't agree with that type of content. (Since I am a Christian) However, as long as you're not being corrupted or excessively affected by violence, it's just what you are comfortable with, within certain bounds.

But enough of my Religious beliefs. You came here to hear about games.

So, some of my favorite games would include, not nessecarily in this order:
FPS's:

Wolfenstein 3D
MoH/ Medal of Honor (The first of which was on the PS1)
DOOM (1)
Star Wars: Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, (Dark Forces II)

In DOS:
Duke Nukem 1 & 2
Pickle Wars
Alien Carnage (Possibly Sequel, Zombie Wars?)
I do like "Breach 3"

Others:
Star Wars: JKII: Jedi Outcast
Practically any Star Wars game, many of which I own
This old Pokemon Video Game version of the Card game (The first one, not the second) which I believe was only supported on Win 95, possibly 98.

I also, believe it or not, like the old DOS game, ParaTrooper.
It's a very simple game, but it has that old-school arcade feel.
Try to beat my High-score of 594! (Anyone feel to take that up!)

So those are some of my favorites.

As a last couple of comments...
My cat is named Calico, only he's actually a Tabby cat (At the time which I named him, I thought his fur pattern was known as Calico)

Also, is your cat really named Mimi?

To comment on what you said in your message more personally:

I believe that I like the occasional Text-based RPG, MMORPG, (Like SW:TOR, but not WoW) and possibly the 3D RPG KOTR (Although I haven't played KOTR or any Text based RPG to date)

I do not, however, like the "Legend of Zelda" style, Top-down, Anime-ish RPGs. Just not into them.

I have a tendency to like Arcade style games, and I definitely like most DOOM style games.
Even as it may not humiliate me, it just wouldn't make sense to say that I don't like the Mario game series. Everyone likes it.

As IGN once said, in paraphrase, "You can't not like it, unless you just dislike fun." However, it isn't my all-time favorite, and it can be infuriating on occasion. (Case and point: Dome levels in Super Mario World)

So, anything you have to say in reply?

A lot.
First: Yes, my cat name is Mimi.
She is lady and wow...
she is the same cat named Calico in photo Poser cat.
Mama mia!
I do not believe my eyes. Absolutely the same cat!!
How is possible?
USA is at the end of the world (ha ha ha) and this cat - her race name is European cat- reaches this remote region???
I will post my Mimi cat photo. Soon.

...Doom 1 only?
What about Doom 2 or 3? Yr opinion?
Mine is: Exc. for 2 and Good for 3.

..
and last but not least:
What do You think about Might of Magic 3, 4,5?
I think the best is MM3, then MM4, then MM5.
MHO is that the first games of some series are the best. With very few exclusions. This is if i may say as ""the first kiss"" - Never forget!
