if its way too big why didn't any of the staff members tell me when they posted in my introduction thread?

if it's such a big issue why is it being enforced so inefficiently?
i'm aware that given my low post count and the fact i haven't been on this forum long means i have little say in the matter, but i run my own forum also, and it's run with an iron fist, once rules are set they should be enforced
