![]() I'm trying to remember the name of this mass cloud computing client, that basically has your computer run various simulations, usually for the purpose of medicine, then it uploads that back to whatever organization distributed it.
The reason I'd like to get it is because I understand some games will crash due to too much CPU power, so I'd like to use some of that power, rather than having it being eaten up to no purpose by some limiter program. Thanks! |

![]() Ah, nevermind, the correct term I was thinking of was Grid Computing. And the client I was thinking of was BOINC. I'll reply with the results of trying to prevent my crashes.

![]() I'm using it, but first it won't limit the CPU time available to other programs, because the tasks are run with minimum priority: as soon as any other program demands CPU time, BOINC will give way with no delay. And even if you tweaked the priority I don't think it would work like Mo'slo or the like, if that's what you mean.

![]() I don't know, I only used a free version of Mo'slo for DOS years ago a couple of times. Google can really help you better than me with this.
