I am somewhat worried by the number of rule stickies in Requests forum. There are already four of them now, and this sheer fact might lead to many newbies ignoring them.

I'd like to propose two things:
First.
A single new rules sticky to replace the old ones. Basically, an extract of the current rules in that part of the forum. Voting on the subject is held in the poll attached to this thread.

Second.
A "previous requests" sticky, listing games that have been previously requested and their status, like On site (with link to the review), Needs archive, Waiting for review (with a link to the "Games that need reviews" thread), Sold (with a link to the store selling it) and ESA.
I understand that the Oldwarez list serves pretty much the same purpose, but I'm afraid that some people just won't bother with it.

I think that the pinned topics could remain as they actually are, but they should be re-written in a better way

maybe with more clear titles, a clear explanation of "what tha f*** is ESA?"... and somethings like that

Four stickies is not a whole lot. Not too much at any rate. Newbies tend to ignore anything. We could make them read all the info before being allowed to join the forum and they would not read anything and yet say they did. Such is life.

I do like your idea of a previous request topic but it a less user friendly version of Tom's ongoing project.
Keep the idea's comming the_fifth_horseman but this time I have to say no.

Four stickies can add to confusion at any rate - putting up one that has the info laid down in a more straightforward way would help to a degree, at least I thought so.

I am aware of this. However, a stickied list (updating which I can take care of) would be an on-spot reference. Some new people (not neccesarily total newbies) might have trouble navigating through the list.

Also, if the Oldwarez list automatically makes any such thread obsolete, why this one is still around?

4 for and 5 against... a very small difference, given how little votes were given.
Well, looks like I'll probably ask Kosta what is his opinion.

I think it would be fair to have just 1 main sticky subjective about rules and containing all kinds of rules..

Maybe 4 isnt that much but still can be little bit oversized for newbies around here.

However the project of :Tom: is awesome but still not feeding for all people around here (specially newbies)

Not that I think four stickies are way too many, but i would prefer one.

So I guess that's settled. I'll get on the subject ASAP.
