![]() I have tons of old cpus (386, 486, early pentiums) @ home, I'd like 2 know if it's possible 2 build a multi-cpu machine, because when I work with graphics programs I need an ultra-fast machine. 10.000 objects is too much for my 1.GHz PC.

![]() You know, adding multiple 386, 486 and pentium CPU's will probably not solve your speed problem.
I purchased a 2gig computer for the price of a pentium 5 years ago, and that is more than a year ago. I am sure you could buy a 4gig computer which is not worth that much. Did you go to your local computer store and see if you could simply buy a new one instead? Purchasing a good graphic card will undoubtly help too. |

![]() I agree with Eagle of Fire!
You can't obtain an ultra fast machine using 486s and Pentiums :not_ok: |

![]() If you do decide to go with a new computer man, don't go with a Pentium. Don't get me wrong, they are great chips.
But the facts stand that overall, AMD chips received better performance ratings when it comes to graphics work. |
