Oh. Cheers!

On a more serious note - if you smoke, you're killing other people with your smoke.

On the other hand, you'll probably be more relaxed, so you won't kill people out of anger.

This is a tough one to call, actually. I would say - don't smoke, but also chill out, everyone. That's my medical advice.

well yeah, but:
when you drive for an equal amonunt of time you kill more people.
when you eat meat you kill hungry children in africa (beacuse of the 10% biomass converstion principle 1).
when you clothe you kill animals. (both through actual murder if it's leather and poulution if it's synthetic)
when you eat you kill plants.
and so on...

as to the connection between smoking an impotency- reports indicate there is one, what puzzles me is that based on those reports smokers should have an additional 1-1.5% death expectancy annualy just from vein desieses alone, and that isn't happening...
one thing I learned is that if I ever start smoking I shouldn't do it a few hours before the act.

1) 10% biomass convertion principle states that every next level in the food chain gains about 10% (add or take 2 times) the energy of the previous level.

- Smoking kills your stamina
- Smokers are more likely to freak out if they get stranded in the jungle than non-smokers (due to addiction)
- Your house stinks

1st one: right - but we do not want to be hypersportive and we do not want to be overhelathy (if so we wouldn't smoke)
2nd ine: freaking out in perticular situations is a mental thing that is only very little connected to tobacco addiction
3nd one: WTH are u thinking? Smoking doesn't mean to smoke IN your house ...

Years ago - my grandmother gave me an apple.
She smoked.
The apple was dry. It smelled. It tasted like newspaper.
Just like the rest of her house. (I am not sure on the tasting part.)

Doesn't matter. You'll bring in the funk on your clothes and hair, and your house will stink. You won't notice it, and other smokers may not notice it, but every nonsmoker who visits your house will.

Yes but to travel fast is also a need, it makes your life easier, it is also very important for human advance in the last century, unlike smoking which doesn't do any good...

There is still plenty of food for everyone in the world, even if you wouldn't eat animals but plants, people would starve in Africa because they are poor and don't have enough technology to make enoigh food for everyone, this has got nothing to do with the biomass principle, but with the distribution of food all over the world...

Again you do this to survive, unlike smoking which you don't need to survive...

firts let me begin with saying that was meant as a joke.
but if you insist:
1: yup, sure a great advance... when youre on a highway at night. in the city mostly you just stand in trafic. which is why I don't own a car. Allso according to many studies the whole 'need for speed' issue causes alot of stress related sickness. Icluding fatal ones such as heart attacks, not to mention the good ol' suicide.

wait, it just acured to me: what do you mean
Quote:
DOESN'T STAND
? does it kill people or not? well then it should be something like "IRRELEVANT" or "TOO SMALL TO MATTER", because it does stand. same for 3 and 4.

now resuming our schedeled progarming:

2: you seem to forget economics: if you buy more of stuff prices go up, if you sell more they go down. the fact that the people in africa are poor is only significant beacuse if the food is expensive, no? I know what you are going to say: "the prices can't be much higher that they would be in the vegetarian world. " to tell the truth I don't know, what I do know is that today 40% (give or take 4%) of the edible plants are consumed by domesticated animals. If you agree africans would be dieing anyway, you must agree that more of them are dieing today.

3:
-little Bobby! you killed our cat.
-but mommy, I wanted to make furcoat for you!
-oh, I can't stay angry at you, go buy another cat.
WHO IN THE WORLD TOLD YOU, THAT YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL SPECIES?!?!

4:I have to agree that yes it is indeed unavoidible- you have to eat (returning to 3, that is not- you can live in warm climates, or you can grow fur (if you stoped fighting it's growth for a while), it is simply convenient to make clothes out of other animals, it always was). still the plants die. it is absurd I know, but that means you support killing of plants
