So it was not the one I've been thinking about ...
In that one you controlled some kind of magician or druid. It was side scrolling, you could go back and forth through the forest. You could always go in over the threes or below them. That is what I remember. EDIT: Or maybe it was ... I found this video but I DON"T remember any doors and static rooms. And I can't find any info about this game being released to C64.
