OK so what, in my experience I never saw a pop up on abandonia or elsevere. IMO the popups can keep the site going so put them if you need them I don't care.
I use Firefox pop up blocker and Zone alarms pop up blocker so probably I won't see any of the pop ups.  Now I'm cool... yeah right!
