* Did any of you know, that it is actually possible to leave one's Homeland while not yet daimyo?
Just walk on top of the arrows which point to the neigbouring regions and press enter!
You will find an estate in the province of your clans enemy (press f2 to find out which province
that is) and you can wreak any havoc on the poor man you never would dare to do to your so-called allies!

* By the way: I gave up on that 300 year quest starting to get doubts about that one score not
being an easter egg (after all not even the historical Tokugawa shogunate lasted that long).
Both approaches - noble retainer and rogue samurai - yielded... 3500 Points. As usual.

Hey. 2 questions.
What do each of the four symbols mean when starting the campaign and choosing a province? Each province has different levels of each symbols so it would make choosing a starting province better if the symbols gave an idea of the province's characteristics.
And, more generally, is it possible to download games that are covered the ESA. Do I have to email them or are those games just off limits to dling?
Thanks. Cool how the forum is up to date all the way from october 04. k:

they stand for

General ability, Honor, combat ability, and Land

As for the ESA thing, it can't be downloaded because the game is ESA protected and at the time being we don't have the permission to host the download.

Best darn Dos game ever made. Why was it not a fantastic success? Why did it not spawn a host of immitators? Why has it not been remade? I keep looking for games like this but I never find them.

Damn the gaming community for not venerating this title as they should. They are samurai of very little honour.

Yet another O-Why-Didn't-They-Update-and-Reissue-This kinda game. It was popular, it made money. Is it because the title doesn't fit easily into the kind of clone-style titles that game corporations like to issue, these days? It's too bad. Even an indie developer, I think, could make something really good out of this title.

How do you pick up Hostages? I just can't figure it out, or even what they look like.
