Their counterargument to that, Indignus, would be to say "Ah-hah! You've been taken in by the pervading idea that the Universe is millions of years old (if not billions) but only because everyone else thinks that!" in spite of the fact that THERE'S EVIDENCE for that - that's WHY everyone thinks that!
Gah! I'm angry now. (For some comedy Creationism bashing alongside some wonderful pop science and the best explanation of evolution I've ever read, get Richard Dawkins' The Ancestor's Tale. Best. Pop science. Ever. The Science of Discworld III is on a similar theme and a bit more accessible, but not as beautiful). |
