I have let this topic progress without my input for three pages, it was only after Titan's rather unkind attack on all people who do believe in some sort of Higher Being that I decided to interject.

Now I do not believe in Organized Religion, I think it is manipulative in all it's forms, I do not believe that I should go to a special building just to communicate with a power that, according to my religion, is all around us. However I do believe there is something, every masterpiece must have its painter, it's composer.
But to then be called a slave, a weakling, because by believing in a God I am by proxy a tool of the organized religion, such remarks - forgive me for saying so - do not credit athe?sts.
A reason many people become athe?sts is because they feel religion is imposed on them (and I have often felt religion being imposed on me aswell, which is why I have distanced myself from the religious institutions) but now I have the feeling athe?sm is being imposed on me, if I do not accept athe?sm in all its forms I am a scientific-heathen, a mindless idiotic slave.
Eventually I am having both genesis as well as The Theory of Evolution pushed down my throat, and to be honest at the end of the day (I hate saying "at the end of the day" but I couldn't find another way to put it) it doesn't much matter who is doing the pushing, since they both look the same to me.

but one thiong i have to erge is the crapy religons that start wars like over in the middle-east its very controlling and powerful i hate to see people who beleive killing beleivers of another religon its really behind-backwards but its sadly what they beleive in

I think he was referring to religions in general, and even if it was just about christianity I think it is wrong to simply put all christians down as mindless drones.

I am targeting all organiced relligions that tries to enforce theire belifes on others, and tell ppl how to thing and behave.

I'm a humanist to the core, but in my own way.
Call that my relligion, if it makes it easier to think of.

Anyway, Stroggy, you and me are extreamly different, but still soooooo close in how we think.
