finally got it to work with vdmsound. Soo much easier! God i loved playing this game, i can't wait to do everything over again. and tie fighter, too.

I was never able to finish this game. I always made it to the end whenever I used to play it, but always failed on the last mission. I'll take an educated stab and say that I've attempted the final mission over 200 times, and am still yet to complete it.

I havent played it since 1997, so I'll start over and try to get it done. You know how it is....if you cant make it past a certain point in a game, dont play it for a while, then when you get back on it, you'll end up doing it straight away.

I just hope 8 years is long enough.

I couldnt see it any where in the forum, but how do you download the game? If at all?

any help would be great!

Hey X-Wing dudes,

I've got a problem with my game... If I use the 3D accelerated option in the game my textures are corrupt (especially on the edges -> black chunks).

I've got a Radeon 8500, newest Omega driver installed and Windows XP SP2. Can anybody help me?

Wow, just fixed it... I had to activate Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic filtering... Don't know why, but it works.

I LOVE Xwing (remember it from the "good old days", but can't play it properly. DosBox begins to lag if I use a joystick or gamepad or whatsoever; as soon as I disable it, everything works fine.

Using STR+F12 doen'st work either.

System info:

Athlon 2600+
Windows Me (!)
1024 Ram

I may be missing something, but for some reason I can find no download link for this game... is there a secret page or something?
