About USA soldiers...I admit, I have seen some terrible actions by Marines. I have also seen some deeply touching actions by a few.You have to understand a few things. Most of these boys have no oppertunities in life. Most of them are coming from incredibly poor communities. They are brainwashed to think they are heros, defending their country and helping others for the most part. Remember they don't make desicions, they just defend themselves and follow orders for the most part. Imagine if you were in a country where everyone looked the same to you, you couldn't understand a word anyone was saying, and anyone of them could have 10 lbs of plastic explosives up their behind...the thing that pisses me off, is that for a majority of young men this is the only option, while the lucky rich minority of men go into the national guard and then into politics(sic).

I'm just saying, yes the oppression is wrong, but they could have asked for UN clearance, and the agreement of the whole world on the intervention, oh wait France wouldn't want the attack, because Total had a deal with Iraq, gaaah the foreign policy is just to complex, but let's just say Americans had bad timing, they should've used the first Gulf War opportunity...

EDIT: And it's the US to blame for that oppression anyway...

I think the facts talk. The USA just won't stop at Iraq. They will probably conquer the reamaining middle east as well. If not by open war, they will use hidden propaganda or the "Psi-Ops" PS was talking about. Or they are already conquered them, we will not know...

UN wouldn't have given clearance because of the Oil-for-Food scandal, along with France and germany. France also had numerous contracts running with Saddam.
Politics is a dirty thing, and nobody is a saint.

If they had continued to invade Iraq during the First Gulf War (actually that one was the Second, but nevermind that) the situation would have ended up the same as it is now. After a while the image of America fighting for Kuweit against Saddam would have turned into the Americans that abused the plee for mercy from Kuweit to conquer iraq and take the oil and then claim the country as their own (a bit like Russia during and after WW2)

Now the US is working together with the EU to stop iran from producing nukes and they are using diplomacy. Sadly diplomacy doesn't seem to be working, since the two sides seem to be in a political merrie-go-around. The fact that the most moderate candidate in the Iranian elections (Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani) said not such a long time ago he'll nuke all hostile countries if he's in control.
