Check out the 'Earth is 6000 years old?' topic. Look at that website. It contradicts itself so many times to try and prove science wrong.

no need to say anything more i think on the subject of these sites. im not saying that they dont link to valid science. what i am saying is they twist it as far as the avarage nostradamus fan will twist his gibberish. you can find anything you want in the bible. as well as showing the nice sides of life it also shows the dark sides of life as well. and it can be used an excuse to be nice to people, or it can be used to a point of neo facism. people fail to take it into context as being a shifting set of rules for the times. all religions have ever been is a set of rules for society. to enables us to live together without robbing and killing each other. arnt all the same under jesus, he makes no distinctions. please fundies i hate bible battles , lets not start chapter an versing here. for his time jesus was a dangerous revelutionary. his words gave soldiers guilt about fighting and bought the old testement to the west. a solider reads *tho shalt not kill* and stuff about honouring his family, especially a slave recruit or convict.. that religion made armys not want to fight. for the time it was hot topic. an underground thing.its been wrapped and buried in dogma after the fall of the roman empire. the roman empire became more peace loving. after a long and violent history. when people use the bible as the *perfect system* i am worried though. becuse you can use it to justify murder. i dont know what version fundies use i have heard worrying storys.
i have seen some of the abridged versions and they make me suspicios.
anyway. stop using jesus to deny change to society that enables the possibility of 2 loving same sex parents who have lived together for years want to adopt a child. becuse if that couple pass psych profiling and are finanicially soluable that child has a better stab at it than a child born to abuse.

would he like to see all this fighting. also those who feel revulsion at the idea of same sex marrige whatever be aware of the fact that revulsion tends to show a deeper fascination within yourself. if you wernt attracted to it, you wouldent think about it.
