Shouldn't the hall of fame reflect the difficulty settings? Doing it on hard is a whole different ballgame.

I don't really see a difference in playing hard or easy settings. I agree that you might have a harder time winning on "hard" settings but keep in mind that the highest scores on the hall of fame right now been played on a "hard" setting. This did not stop us from getting incredible scores.

I think we should keep it that way so newbies still have a chance of achieving something even on easy settings.

An element that works in favor of harder difficulty level is the quality of the competitors you take over. On easy their railroads are a total mess, making hardly any profit. Maybe that helps a bit?

you are correct. but more profitable their companies are more money you will have to dispose to take over them. well, not that i find that a big problem as i tend to assimilate 75% of each company by the time they show up :bleh:

Once more on easy difficulty:
100,058,758 at 23rd April 1984

Next time I'll try average, I'm still not confident enough to try the hard settings.
