But yes this forum has hit the shits lately, and I haven't been around as much lately mainly cause I just don't have the ability to do so as often as I used to.

I'm just glad I got to experience this forum when it was at its peak in quality.

This is a very good point... that's what inspires my loyalty to the site, anyway. Regardless of how many spammers/flamers/trollers might run amok, there's always the core members whose posts were really great to read and reply to.

It's just less fun now because I tend to have a policy of ignoring such things and not getting involved unless I just really have something to say. Therefore, I've been participating in the forums less

This is also a good point, and probably the main reason I still stick around, because most of those members are still around. But some have now left, and maybe more will do so, and then I may just lose interest, who knows?

I also remember myself predicting something like this would happen, that as the forums grow bigger it would become less and less friendlier, and it sure has become that lately.

And Doubler as far as I have seen you haven't contributed to this forums decline.

I guess I'll probably be around for a long time. I hope the forums get better, but they may not. I still don't want to hand the place over to the spammers. I like Abandonia, and I miss it being how it used to be. It used to be a cool friendly place, now it scares me. What can I say. The price for popularity is a big one, and I can only hope this place doesn't turn into another HOTU forums.

Here's a thought (and this one makes me feel really optimistic).

Many people have gathered here expresing their opinions. Weather they are old members or relatively new ones - most of the posters here are the core of abandonia - and the core is good.
Just one or two of the posters in this topic are actually seen as sometimes critical - so why leave the forum if the majority is k: .

EDIT: Actually now that I read it again - there's only one member posting here that has caused some really bad blood.

this is the real reason people leave.

It's normal really, there are periods you have lots of free time, there are periods you have less time. It's a normal process and it will always be there, regardless of spammers/annoying persons.

New interesting people will join up, I'm sure some of these joined right today.
