or the goons were just practicing (it's not like he was someone inportant...).


P.S. Ankh-Mohrpok is not a country, it's a city situated on the river Ankh.

Maybe they wanted to save him from poisoned bread they were intending for the high-ups. Y'know, the ones who could afford it.

I don't realy know if it's in a poor coutnry, my impression is that it was some sort of a city-state. the City itself has both poor neighbourhoods and rich ones, allthouh noone there is as rich as people in the agate empire.

offcourse, when I was osting about Ankh-Mohrok, I forgot to mention that it has the best thievs guild on discworld
they threw him into ankh, bacause he wasn't a memeber of the giulid- "when you mess with the best, you end up like the rest"( I don't remeber who said that.)
