Well it's like this:
the keys F1, F2, F3 and F4 are the zoom in/out keys.
You need to zoom in with F4 to be able to really see or do something.

How do i build rails? i got it highlighted and i presws directional keys but nothin happens. Also when i try to download the manual from this site it gets the game. Can i have link to the manual in a pdf (railroad tycoon not rrt deluxe)

Looking into the manual problem now (will be fixed soon). But to build simply hold shift and press directional key (numeric keys - maybe you need to switch on/off the num-lock).
