You're a cop with Basic Firearms Training (Player gets +25% to hit with all firearms attacks.), your best bet at gaining xp would be hit and run against zombies. It'll require a lot of ammo but it'll work.

[edit]: Darval Height isn't far from Yagoton, you could be at the warehouse with about 25 - 30 APs, why wait ? A tip, just in case, once you're ready for the trip, travel diagonally as much as possible to save APs.
