When I try to run the MDK dos version, it says that it cannot open a file named MDKFONT.FTI, and when I try the Windows 95 version it simply wont start. How can I fix this problem?

Did you check to see if the file is read-only ? Right-click on it and choose properties. It should appear a window in which you will see some options (read-only, hidden...). Uncheck the option "read-only". If this doesn't work check that the file exists.

I didn't download the game but I'm downloading now, so if I'll have that problem and I'll be able to fix it, I'll post here. k: :bye:

Edit: Look at the above posts if you have applied the direct3d patch. Otherways just start mdk95.exe (if you use Windows) or mdk.exe (if you use DOSBox). I didn't get that error so I can't help you.

Thumbs down

*Sorry for double post (i'm not regiestered to editing my post was not an option)*

For those of you still having the problem with the font file error
(cant remember it exactly, i dont get it anymore)
Use winrar instead of winzip and directly copy the mdk folder.
Then it should work if the cfd file points to c:\.
Trust me, this is the fix you've been looking for.

Snip'd!

I believe MDK stands for Mission Deliver Kindness
If you had a real copy of the game, with a booklet, and took the time to read it..... OK so I was bored!!!! You would find that out.

I remember that this game came out originally for the PC, what's with everyone thinking it's a PS1 original?

MDK as far as i can remember does NOT stand for muder death kill.

there is millions of theorys as to what it means:

the 3 main characters had initials M , D and K for instance. it was never known what it really stood for.
The actual meaning for the games title comes from Max, Doctor, Kurt. This has been confrimed by Shiny themselves.

End of discussion.
