yes it is. And when I first heard it, I was totally mystified, and I worked on it for awhile, and then I was told to solve it the same way one would solve a "What would come next" question (ex. 1, 3, 5, 7, __) Meaning, to look for a pattern.

There is a rhyming pattern.
I've had this in my head since you said that having no pattern is a clue, so I'm saying constellation. |

Is the answer that anything can come next as long as
a) it rhymes and B) it follows the 6 word/6 word/ 3 word pattern of the original rhyme? So the next line will start a new rhyming couplet and have 6 words, the line after that will rhyme with the line before it and have 3. |
