It wasn't working for me either so I found this fix a few pages back.

Open notepad, write:

SET LANG=english
"Transport Tycoon Deluxe.exe"

Then save the file in the transport tycoon folder as TTD.bat
(Really you can call it whatever you want, just make sure it's saved as a .bat file)

To play the game go to the Transport Tycoon folder and click on the file that you saved e.g. TTD.bat . The game will run in an MSDOS-style dialog box.

i can't run the game too it says the game was not install properly and i tried the above method all it does when i click on the file is open and close automatically pls help thank you :tai: :tai:

Currently im trying to play airplanes at the very start and i have big problem with city growth and passenger service, i can link an airport with 3 other airports using 6 aircrafts and the passengers city provide drop from 170 to 80 and then to 40 or so in less than a couple of years.
Do you know any trick to speed up city growth? does developing their fabs play any role at all ? (my current rates for all airports are about 62% for passengers and +70% for mail -i am using mail trucks too-)
Also how to prevent a station from stop accepting goods? I spent good money (in some games) building factories and steel mills only to have my trains stockpile the goods in the city station for free.

Sorry for taking so long to notice this. You probably will never read this but here goes anyways.

The true way to go at the beginning is trains. Once you get a stable source of income (I usually go coal at the very beginning), then you can concentrate on whatever else you wish. If you still wish to go airplane at the beginning, then consider this a great challenge.

The true reason why your passengers drop so radically is probably because of the % of use you have. Airplanes have this disability, especially at the beginning; they are slow. This mean that you won't be able to maintain your % of use too high, and the lower it will get, the lower the number of passenger you'll get too. You could try to up that by linking the airport with a bus stop by building a bus stop directly at the side of the airport. When you do so, the two stations will "fuse" together, and the more often the buses stop the higher the percetage will get. You can also fuse a rairoad station to make it a 3 way station, and this trick is usefull for widening the area of effect of a station. This lead us to the next point;

The reason why your stations sometime stop accepting goods is because every square of building accept a certain amount of goods. Usually, a house accept 1/3 good, and you can see this by clicking on the "?" icon to the top right of the screen and selecting any building in the town. This mean that you'll need 3 houses to have one unit of goods to be accepted for the station. I'm not sure of the actual amount of goods you need for the station to accept goods, but the point is; if the town change in any ways and you don't have the prerequisite amount of goods in the range of the station anymore, you won't be able to deliver goods to that station until it return. Sometimes when city grows, buildings get flattened and new buildings take it's place. This can shift the pattern of goods your station range cover, and the aforementioned trick could help you bridge the gap to be able to accept the delivery of goods again.

hello, long time no see

well, i have a "little" problem with tt.
i downloaded the deluxe version, i ran the runme registration editing thingie and...it doesnt, run, when i try to start it it says "unable to access transport tycoon deluxe cd! $"
well, there are to "options" in my opinion:
a) sometime ago i had a nasty spyware infection that also *meep*ed up my administrative right, but i think (or better i thought) i repaired all the damage, perhaps not everything is back to normal and windows won´t accept the registration editing? (though, i get the message that it worked when executing the file....)

B) (<--this was not supposed to be a smilie but a ) + a b --> b-) something else doesnt´t work

can somebody help me?

Run the crack. I think you need to run a .reg file.

if u mean that run me.register file, i've already done that
