Empire at War is actually very little like Command and Conquer, and more like The Total War series, or Rebellion, if anyone here played that. There is a story based compaign, but what I'm looking forward to is the Galactic Conquest mode.
The battles, in the primary mode, do not involve base building or resource gathering. Instead you fight tactical battles with just the units you brought. There is a mod that unlocks the Galactic Conquest mode in the demo, and its really quite good. I'm very much looking forward to the finished version. |
