I already saw some kind of "pattern" in my dreams (I don't have a diary, yet, though).

My dreams take place in 5 different "dream-worlds" everyone with another setting.

The first one is the "normal world". When I'm there, I usually have a dream about family, school, etc. and everything seems to be, well, normal.

The second one is the "weird world". When I'm there, everything can happen. And I mean everything. I just can't control it, yet

The third one is the "dark world". There, everything is pretty much like the normal world, but with a way darker and serious setting. (Anyone every played The Dead City? You get the idea.) But you can't call these dreams nightmares, yet.

Then there's the fourth one, the "nightmare world". Well, it's not really a world for itself, but a "deformation" of the other worlds. It's like having a normal/weird/dark dream, but with these things you want to close your eyes at, and then see you can't.)

And last, the most horrible one, I don't know what to call it, let's say the "cogwheel world". If anyone read my post in the nightmares thread that was here a while ago, he knows what I'm talking about. In this place, nothing is normal. I shift from one point to another without even wanting it and every place is more horrible than the last. There's a place where everything is one big machine and I'm inside it. Then there's one, where I just can see cogwheels. Then I can see earth exploding several times, then I'm back at the machine. The colors black and white always occur often in that world. Also everything that happens in this wolrd, no matter what, and may it be the slightest rotation of a cogwheel, fills me with some kind of guilt, that frightens me more than everything.
If dreaming brings you into parallel dimensions, then this one is hell itself.
